Since 2004, Spectrem Group surveys 250 investors each month. Half of those investors have over $1 million of investable assets these indices have provided investment firms and financial providers with an in-depth understanding of what investors are thinking.
Our in-depth surveys focus on the outlook as identified by survey participants and is reflected in two measures of investor confidence:
SAICI - Spectrem Affluent Investor Confidence Index
SMICI - Spectrem Millionaire Investor Confidence Index
Each index reflects investor attitudes towards their overall economic outlook as well as their intentions with regard to their investments. Survey participants are also queried as to hypothetical investment scenarios in order to gage their responses.
How are investors planning or changing their portfolio allocations between cash, stocks, bonds, stock and bond mutual funds and real estate? Will they choose to not invest in the next 30, 60 or 90 days? What are the factors most impacting?
Spectrem's Affluent Index newsletter gives you monthly intelligence on investors' reactions to the investing environment. Which issues are shaping their behaviors? How do they perceive the current economic environment, political climate and health of the stock markets? How are their current financial plans impacted by their household income, the real estate market or their prospects for retirement?
Addressing the monthly issues and concerns which are affecting your clients will help advisory firms keep on top of their immediate needs in the short term and help influence the timeliness of your firm's solutions in the future.
Tracking the Spectrem indices over time will give you a pulse on the investing public from a rooftop vantage point - high enough to see the investing landscape but low enough, with enough specificity, to provide the necessary date to anticipate your clients' questions and needs and respond with targeted solutions.
