Trends in Charitable Giving

Effectively giving to charities through new financial products, services and instruments has changed dramatically in just a few short years.  This report focuses on the ways that the ultra wealthy have chosen to bequeath and donate to various types of charities through new methodologies.  The use of Impact investing, donor advised funds, and other new devices and products among households with $25 million of net worth and greater will be reviewed.  Comparisons will be made to the instruments used by households with $5 to $25 million of net worth and even the charitable practices of those with less wealth will be reviewed.  This will allow financial advisory and investment firms to gain a greater understanding of the need and usage of various charitable instruments.
