Demand Grows for More Research
Affluent individuals who use financial advisors want more than just informative and easy-to-read statements. They also want access to company research reports and analysis of economic and market news.

Some 80% of the affluent say informative and easy-to-read statements are either important or very important to them. Yet, 63% also express a desire for information about economic and market developments that could help them make investment decisions. A slightly smaller percentage (59%) want access to research about specific companies in which they may invest. Slightly more than one-third (36%) are interested in "what if" modeling capabilities for asset allocation and portfolio analysis.
Advisor-assisted and advisor-dependent individuals are in close agreement on the importance of financial statements, but the advisor-dependent are significantly more interested in economic and market information, access to company research and financial modeling.
Financial services companies that deliver products and services through intermediaries must find ways to make investment research and other financial information available to advisors and to individuals.
